This is one of the birds that flit around in our birch tree, floating down to grab snacks from the suet feeder. I've been trying to identify him, but I am not having any luck.
your bird might be an American variety of a Flycatcher. Carol & Harry brought us a Bird book for Mexico & Central America & your friend looks like a Streaked Flycatcher. But it also looks like a Striped Sparrow too. :) Perhaps your guy & his clan winter in the Tropics
