I was sorry to see so many future lemons go, but we left the tree a little lopsided to preserve the crop. If only I would learn to do this in February! But all in all the proceedure went well with only a little blood spilled.

Yes, apparently:
ReplyDelete(1) lemon trees have REALLY wicked thorns, and
(2) it's not a particularly bright idea to stand under them while cutting large branches directly above oneself....
